Hey there Vincent, Thanks for the quick feedback!
I agree - Code Ref IS a Great tool! And, yeah - I guess I kinda figured it was new and specific to VFP9. As for the 2nd part. I was thinking of doing just that. However, it defeats one of the great features of the Code Ref tool - in that if you Double-Click the Reference after doing the search - it not only opens the Screen (or Program) in question - it puts you DIRECTLY on the line of code that was found! So - yeah - I could Search in 9 - but, Edit in 7, but its just not as straightforward. Now - actually - over the past few years - due to a problem in the Reports where the Environment gets set and locked to a particular printer - when editing in VFP7 - but, the Option to Set on Un-Set that printer thing is ONLY available in VFP9 - I have fixed a LOT of Reports in 9. Then later re-edited the reports in VFP7 when need be. And, it doesn't cause a problem. However, since in the case I need to edit a LOT of different screens - I just wanted to make sure before I tried doing it all... -K- -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Vincent Teachout Sent: Thursday, September 02, 2010 4:34 PM Kurt Wendt wrote: > So - my question is really 2 part. 1st - I suspect there really is no > tool like that in VFP7. Am I right? AFAIK, there is not. I don't know, but can't you search in 9, and edit in 7? _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/289ea162f5642645b5cf64d624c66a14071a1...@us-ny-mail-002.waitex.net ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
