I don't think there is any problem with using the Code References tool 
on VFP 7 code. However, be careful with the menus. I seem to recall 
(don't remember which version), made the menu unreadable for the lesser 
version if opened or modified by the higher version (maybe it was from 
vfp 6 to vfp 7, but might have been from vfp7 to vfp8 ?)

As for a superb tool that does almost the same as the Code References 
one, used with prior versions of vfp is GOFISH.APP, by Peter Diotte (had 
this email address: [email protected]) but it's been years since I last 
used it. I think you could download it from ProFox. I could email it to 
you if you can't find it.
