It is effectively a pre-packaged Virtual PC machine running XP Pro 32-bit and is a free download from MS. It has enhancements over standard Virtual PC in that applications running under it appear on the main Win 7 menu, and as seamless windows on the Win 7 desktop. It can also interact with the Win 7 filesystem. It is similar to how I understand pre-OSX applications that are ntot OSX-compliant will run on OSX. You can start the virtual PC and install whatever you need into it (including AV, I'd use MSE) and any shortcuts on the 'All Users' desktop will automagically appear on the Win 7 menu. -- Alan Bourke alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
