Check. Does.

Check. Does the forms fine. Redefined the data source. Created a new
form and tried a new merge. It can see the data, show the data
columns, let me match them to merge fields on the form, and crashes
when I try the merge. Tried a couple different tables in case it was
bad data.

Check. Works on another program. Hangs WP.

Never left. Used an SSH-encrypted tunnel to forward port 3389 from
their server to my machine, and routed Remote Desktop from the
client's desktop to my local machine, running rdesktop on Fedora.
Remote control!

Never had to leave the office, which is good, as a little polishing
could turn the driveway into a skating rink, and it's 100 miles north
into the frozen White Mountains to get to this client.
