It is definitely not a dos program so dosbox is not the solution. I've played with the compatibility settings and nothing works. Jds technologies [stargate makers] suggested there was possibly a program that would give me a 16 bit windows shell.
I really like the idea of trying a remote control type hook up to the lap top. Could I send strings from foxpro6 on the 64 bit computer through the com port on the lap top? Gary: Is the com port connection to STARGATE a serial port connection? I don't have personal experience, but I've heard of problems with serial port communications coming out of a VM. Anyone here got any practical experience with that? Taking a different tack, have you considered leaving the old laptop hooked up to the STARGATE and then using a remote control program, like VNC, to access the laptop from your new computer when you need to change something? -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/D011C3FBC3074C8797A9730F94B98B1D@OwnerPC ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
