No, if you were running a remote control program on your 64-bit computer, you would have a window that would show you what the screen on your 16-bit laptop looked like. If you kept your VFP 6 database and your event software on the laptop, you could type and use the mouse (or other devices you use) to enter characters into the 16-bit screen via the remote control software just as if you were at the laptop's keyboard. (If you use a specialized device to interact, you'd have to make sure it was compatible with the remote control software.) While this solution MIGHT work, it might just make the whole solution a little more complicated and frustrating, too. Now you've got two computers, and the connections to go between them, and the limitations of the remote control software, that could go wrong. I visited the Jds technologies site to see if they have anything to offer here. They have a device that will add an ethernet connection to the stargate device, which sounds like it would make a web interface available over the network.
