Oh - Matt - U Frickin' SLAY Me with your humor!!! But - to be honest - I totally enjoy it - and it gives me a good chuckle at work - right about the time I need it!
Now - as for learning some new Tech - as you suggested - like getting MORE into HTML Coding - or even doing CSS - these days I just don't have the time. I wish I had a side-kick type humanoid who could take care of that kinds stuff for me. You see - when I am NOT at work doing VFP - at home, at night, on Weekends, on Holidays - these days I am ALL about doing 3D CG - and producing stuff on my Bot. I'm also pushing to make the right connections and apply for a Patent for a communication device add-on, which I already produced multiple different prototypes on my Bot. I'm also, looking to produce a GingerBread House Construction Kit - initially prototype on my Bot - then make it a KickStarter project. And - this is besides my current projects - like this HUGE Chinese Dragon I am producing on Bot - and which may shortly be featured in a kind of Pop-up Museum here in NYC. I'm even possibly making a connection to get it into the MoMA museum. And, besides that - I'm also currently working on producing plastic prototypes of some Adult Toys - which I was recently commissioned to do. So - now you know what I mean - that at this time - I can't take on more - like learning new tech like CSS or advance HTML. Now - if I could learn those new Techs while at work - that would be fine... -K- -----Original Message----- From: ProfoxTech [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of M Jarvis Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2012 4:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NF] Website Page Views Counter On Thu, Oct 4, 2012 at 7:07 AM, Kurt Wendt <[email protected]> wrote: > Hey Matt - since you think the webpage (NO - Wait - the MS Doc) sucks so > bad (I can't totally disagree) - can you maybe suggest a Free and Easy > to use WYSIWYG type webpage Editor - like what was in the old Mozilla? > Hey, I'm just here to criticize, not offer any useful suggestions... Here's the problem with Word (among other things) - you ask Word what time it is, and it builds you a Watch Factory... the bloat in those documents is phenomenal, and good luck trying to figure out what you can just delete w/o breaking the whole damn thing... Besides the excellent suggestions of using something like WordPress, I don't use an editor other than Notepad. Our needs aren't that great and we do have MS FrontPage, but it's more bother than it's worth.... I know my way around code so to me it's just not a big deal to do my html and ASP stuff from scratch. I'm not doing anything cutting edge so basic HTML and CSS is good enough. For a quick and easy rundown on CSS, take a look at: http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp Okay, a lot of people like to diss on W3 but for basic stuff it works for me... Once you get your head around CSS it ain't that hard and you start 'seeing it'... Or better yet, find some page you like the look and format of, and steal the code. Then just edit it to meet your needs... Anything is better than the chimps on crack thing you got going so far.... <g> -- Matt Jarvis Eugene, Oregon USA [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/289ea162f5642645b5cf64d624c66a140e260...@us-ny-mail-002.waitex.net ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
