Tracy,
Windows+R, %temp%, {ENTER}
Those steps on XP, Vista, Windows 7 will open Windows Explorer to the
variable set as TEMP.
In VFP the command would be
_VFP.DoCmd([!START "" "] + getEnv("Temp") + ["])
-------------------------------
Gotcha ... I guess doing it from VFP is reasonable, since there is a 1st
time startup process anyway. It could just move the log into the apps folder
at this time. On the list :)
------------------------------
Seeing the log file gives the clue that the files were found. I'll say the
problem exists after the setup completes.
--------------------------
That's what I thought ...
------------------------------------
Does the Admin user see the files, the standard user can not?
---------------------------
... but Admin searching for COMCTL32.* found nothing (and app failed when it
tried to access the ocx)
Note Rick's post and pointer to the doc. I'm wondering if the simple
solution posited might do the trick
Bill
