Bill,
I haven't needed the ArchitectureInstallIn64BitMode setting yet, but am
paying attention to it as more and more of my clients (not to mention my own
machines) migrate to 64-bit Windows.
So far my VFP 9 apps have installed and run with no issues on 64-bit Windows
without having to set the 64-bit installation architecture. One of these
apps installs comctl32.ocx using "DestDir: {sys}; Flags: onlyifdoesntexist
regserver sharedfile restartreplace". On the target machine, I find
comctl32.ocx in both System32 and SysWOW64, but I didn't check before
running the installer so I can't say if they're there as a result of the
installation or not, plus I have VFP 9 installed on that particular machine.
However, the client on whose machine I installed the same app is not
reporting any problems related to that control.
