Newton provides KDE 2.0 on CD.  apt preferred to fetch it from there,
and an attempt at upgrading didn't fetch any new KDE stuff.

I'd try to fetch from kde.debian.net, except my prior attempts at
updating from debian.org (mostly to woody) were iffy -- woody being not
ready for public consumption (you'd figure that this close to some Sept.
release and with Debian's "legendary stability" that only tweaks would
be being done to that distro version).

All in all, I've come to value stability more and more and perhaps the
better question is:  is KDE 2.1 ready for stability?
