I have Star Office running on my box without any problems what-so-ever. The
only issue I was not able to resolve (yet ;-) is getting Star Office to work
with Java. I installed the JRE from Java's site, but I was never able to get
everything working together. Anyway, Star Office appears to work just fine
without it anyway.

So I'd like to install Staroffice and try it out (unless you guys have a
good reason why I shouldn't). Anyways, this kinda is related to a message I
posted a couple of weeks ago.
The staroffice package is a *.bin. I'm not sure how to run it, but I'm
guessing it's something like ./*.bin.
Will this mess up my package dependencies? i.e. If I use dpkg to install
another package later on, could this be a possible conflict down the road?
I'm not sure how dpkg keeps track of dependencies, and what ramifications
installing binaries would have on that.
Also, is there a staroffice.deb somewhere? Make my life easier.
Thanks...
