I've just used this a little recently when I started trying to use jee
because I have to invoke it in the J home directory but I usually
want to work in the directory from which I invoked it originally.

So, it's worked OK the half-dozen or so times I've used it.

Also, it _ought_ to work. So, if someone needs to use it, he should
try and report an error if he finds an instance where it fails
to work properly.

An alternate way to accomplish what Bill wants would be to offload
the directory changing and C invocation to a shell script.

Devon,

I would avoid 1!:44 , because this often confuses J. I will try to
remember a specific example, but I've been burned on this a number of times.
