Basically, a page which has this directive will redirect
the user to its target page.

You can back to the original page (with the redirect
directive on it, as opposed to the target page) by
clicking on its name in the redirect notice which shows
up on the target page.

It does not, but a lot of people manage to navigate wikis.

Also, if we take that text directly from the vocabulary
page the text should be at least somewhat appropriate.
