The code is part of EPFL's additions on top of Invenio and lives at
EPFL. Not everything was committed back to Invenio... I'll ask Gregory
about that. He reads this list, but may have missed this thread.

So if you see a chance to allow uploading of BibTeX and friends in an
easy way for this it would be great.
BibConvert now contains an (imperfect) example for uploading BibTeX, and
we can add more. However, it is definitely good to make use of some
ready-to-be-used CLI tools, say bibutils family of scripts, as an
alternative, if they already work nicely.
I think it might be good to use something existing as these formats can
get a bit nasty in certain cases and reinvening the wheels here can be
quite tiring. I have crossrefs in mind ie. inter-record linking in
bibtex, eg. And bibtex flexiblity can be a problem here as well.
Do you use some of these tools already, or have you compared bibutils
and pybliographer and friends in detail and have some preference in your
scenario? If so, please open a ticket.
No real preference or in detail comaprison. On the shell I used the
bibutils for certain conversions and it worked well. I had them in mind
mainly cause
- I didn't think of pybliographer
- They write some intermediary MODS, which is already XML
- bibutils have two ends ie. do
something <- via mods -> something other
When I checked pybliographer the last time it was
something -> bibtex
only and in our framework this might involve implementing a bibtex
import parser which again can get nasty in the details.
I fear I can't really give a reliable comparison to pybliographer.
Probably, the collegues at EPFL know this part better than me.
