It shouldn't cause a problem, but Protel won't use it, either.  The
3Dfx VooDoo cards are 3D graphics accelerators.  When not in use,
they pass the video straight through from your existing VGA card, which
you still need to keep in the computer.

The only thing that Protel could use the card for is the "3D" view
mode of PCB, and that is really a joke, anyway, as the height and shape
of all components is predefined, and you can't change it to match
real components.  That requires the proper drivers to be installed.
You can download the drivers from 3Dfx's web site.  This poor feature
just isn't worth even using.
