Mike,
I can't say that I have the answer for your problem but my suspicion
would be that you didn't get a full and proper install on the update. My
suggestion, uninstall the service pack 6 and try re-installing it. What you
are seeing is not normal once installing SP6, I see a splash screen which
states "Includes Service Pack SP6".
Within my "HELP" "ABOUT" it lists my version as 6.6.7. I think this
is what you meant in your reference to "...help says ver 6.5.2.".
