It works. The OrCAD Cache probably has something in it that is giving 
Protel indigestion.

Get eCapture from

http://www.spincircuit.com/download.html

You can get a full-function version of Capture 9.2 there. Load the file 
into 9.2 and then write it back, see what happens.

Usually OrCAD files, if you look at them with a text editor, will show you 
the version at the beginning. Protel will load version 9 Capture, not 
necessarily earlier versions.
