Ted,

The reason Protel will not import the gerber properly is because of the way
the DCodes are done in the CAMTastic version being used.

Protel needs to have the DCode listed each time, it does not assume the last
used DCode if it is missing. CamTastic only lists it one time until the
code changes then it lists it again.

I never could find a way to get Camtastic to create Gerber files with a
DCode for each line, or a way for Protel to assume the last DCode used when
it is missing from a line, rather than skipping the line entirely.

The missing items you are noticing are items that were on a line with no
DCode so Protel skips them.

If you open a Gerber created from Protel and a Gerber created from CAMTastic
you can compare them in a text editor to see what I mean.

There might be an easy way to get this to work... but I never did find it.

Regards,

Colby Siemer
