Ted,
try using.......PROTEL 2.8(if you have it)....
I know this is a "backward step" but we have found that nearly most other
CAD/CAM generated gerbers will be able to be read into PROTEL 2.8 (this is
so robust and uncaring).....just watch out for the resolution ie gerber
format that the files were generated in and the setup in P2.8 for the gerber
import. You will also need to remove the CAMTASTIC header as discussed a
couple of days ago inthis forum.
Hope this helps
regards
Leon Fonstin

Subject: [PEDA] imported Gerber info missing

I am trying to import Gerber files into Protel, from Camtastic. I
have no problems getting the files to generate, but there is a lot of
information missing. The text is not complete and there are missing tracks.
I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I have tried everything I could think
of. Changing the export to metric, using arc's, convert polygons to vector
fills, type absolute and incremental, and zero suppression. Is there some
thing I am missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Ted Tontis C.I.D.
