Hello, all: One of my customers just told me he received an offer from Protel (Altium, whatever) to buy Protel for $2K. That's right, $2K for a full (not upgrade) license. I recommended Protel to him because I like it and because we have done custom design work for him, and he needs a way to modify and print the files for his documentation needs, and design some of his less complex boards in-house. I told him to download the trial version from Protel's website, which he did about 2 months ago. So has anyone else seen or heard of this offer for $2K? I wonder if it only applies to new customers who have downloaded the trial version? If this offer is only valid for new customers, what a punishment to us old-timers!
