So it looks like the idea that Tango II was written because Accel got tired of waiting for Autotrax doesn't fly, Autotrax was out for a year before Tango II. From the other descriptions, I'd infer that Accel made the decision to roll their own; this explains why bug fixes and the upgrade took so long. There were no more bug fixes for Tango I because Protel had already issued Autotrax. There were some really good people at Accel, but I did not have that feeling about the man at the top.... Apparently I'm not the only one to have reservations about Accel's leadership up until it was bought by Protel.
