Hi Peter,
        you are correct about that but I believe there was another less
related/obvious consequence to selecting the connected tracks option for
component drag. I know that I fought with this problem years ago now for
approx. 1/2 day, called Tech Support and they had me turn off the component
drag option and the problem went away. Can't recall exactly what the issue
was though. I tried a few things just now and can't seem to stumble upon it
at the moment.
