Hello folks, I am trying to help a friend of mine get up and running with pro tools, and I want to make sure what I told him concerning the level meter is accurate. Now that we have access to the peak level meter, is it better to use this meter when checking levels on a track before recording or the original level meter that we have always had access to? I seem to remember Slau saying that the peak meter is more reliable because the level meter rounds the number value. Hope this is correct, if not, can someone tell me which one would be best to use?
