Hi, I had trouble running eclipse on Kubuntu, since the java jdk supported by aptitude doesn't work. So I had to install it separately by downloading it from the website. However after I got eclipse running, I didn't have any trouble with Ptolemy, where all I had to do was set the right paths. Does you eclipse installation work? If yes, then it should just be problems with the classpath.
