#572: PulseAudio mutes Master channel upon logout ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Reporter: diverse_izzue | Owner: lennart Type: defect | Status: new Milestone: | Component: daemon Keywords: | ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ There is a problem shared by a number of Ubuntu 9.04 users where the sound is muted after boot. Information can be found in Launchpad bug #352732 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/352732)
Looking into it a little bit further shows that: - After boot, but before login, the master channel is *not* muted yet, it gets muted upon login - When the system is not properly shut down, e.g. in a system crash, the sound is not muted during the next login A suspicion I have is that PulseAudio might mute that channel when logging out, but not unmute it again when logging it. Help with analysing that problem further would be most welcome.
