Hello,

I am trying to see which is the cleanest, most clear and safest method
of installing a Gurmukhi keyboard layout in Windows XP. The idea is to
install Jhelum (or Inscript Refined) in addition to the default on XP
(which is Inscript I suppose).

I have searched google and discovered there are usually exe files
available or some self extracting binary which need to be run in order
to install a keyboard layout. So

1) Where can I get the one for Jhelum and Refined?

2) What is the underlying method of a keyboard layout installation in
Windows XP? For fonts installation, e.g., we just copy the ttf fonts to
the system Fonts folder. No need to run any exe at all. Is there a
similar method to install a keyboard layout in XP?

The second question rises from my own paranoia. I am not comfortable
downloading and running an exe from an unfamiliar website. Plus, I am
also interested in knowing where do the keymap files go in XP.

Thanks.
