Issue #2349 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.

So chatting to one of the Solaris guys here, he seemed to think "preseed" was
an acceptable name.

Are you happy with me taking this approach?

* leaving responsefile there
* marking it as deprecated
* creating a new "preseed" parameter that can take:
  * data
  * posix path "/path/to/preseed.file"
  * File resource

I'm not stuck on "preseed" as the name, and don't particularly care.

Feature #2349: apt provider should support 'responsedata' just like
'responsefile'

We're looking to use preseed data with apt a lot more, so have been
experimenting with the responsefile parameter for apt, but it's kind of clunky
given you have to deliver the file to the client and set up relationships by
hand.

I'm proposing adding a responsedata parameter where you simply specify this in
the puppet manifest itself, rather than relying upon a separate file.

As debconf-set-selections accepts input on stdin, this should be trivial to do.
