Issue #2349 has been updated by Luke Kanies. Category set to package Status changed from Needs design decision to Accepted
Yep, sounds perfect. ---------------------------------------- Feature #2349: apt provider should support 'responsedata' just like 'responsefile' http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2349 Author: Nigel Kersten Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assigned to: Nigel Kersten Category: package Target version: Complexity: Unknown Affected version: 0.25.0 Keywords: We're looking to use preseed data with apt a lot more, so have been experimenting with the responsefile parameter for apt, but it's kind of clunky given you have to deliver the file to the client and set up relationships by hand. I'm proposing adding a responsedata parameter where you simply specify this in the puppet manifest itself, rather than relying upon a separate file. As debconf-set-selections accepts input on stdin, this should be trivial to do. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
