Issue #21133 has been updated by matt f.
Hey Josh - I'm not necessarily looking for versionable packages (although I believe MSI's have this infomation..? .EXE's of course don't), I'm mostly interested in reporting on current version installed. I found http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/2238-how-add-remove-programs-works which has some useful info. I'll leave it to your judgement as to weather this is feasible or not. ---------------------------------------- Feature #21133: Add versionable feature to windows package provider https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/21133#change-92673 * Author: matt f * Status: Needs More Information * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * Category: * Target version: * Affected Puppet version: * Keywords: windows * Branch: ---------------------------------------- package provider on windows does not report package version:
C:\marionette-collective\bin>puppet resource package Puppet package { 'Puppet': ensure => 'installed', }
On linux the version is reported:
# puppet resource package puppet package { 'puppet': ensure => '3.2.1-1.el6', }
This above example is on puppet for windows version 3.2.1 -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
