you could cp the stuff from /root to /home/yourusername and then chown and chmod the stuff with the correct permissions but maybe easiest just to re checkout the stuff but this time as user from a terminal

same as in the docs:

rm -rf .config

rm -rf .icons

etc/skel/.config/

svn co https://devel.goto10.org/svn/puredyne/live/config/chroot_local-includes/
etc/skel/.icons/

svn co https://devel.goto10.org/svn/puredyne/live/config/chroot_local-includes/
etc/skel/Backgrounds

sudo apt-get install tango-icon-theme

Hey all,

Fantastic progress today.

I have 2 issues remaining.

1st up
I only get the P:D look and menu when logging in as root, and I'm not going
to do that. Oh no. Had to dig around for a bit 2 figure out that I needed
to setup sudo (kept kicking me out) but seems good now.

But the main question: how do I transfer my root desktop settings into my
non-root user?

Next question ....
