Dont you have another partition that you could use for persistence?
I decided to continue working over lenny. So now i have the puredyne
rt kernel listed and booting via grub.. i will compare its performance
with the kernel i had compiled before and report back, phps with an
image for people with alix3c3 or 3d3 computers to just clone via dd...
