first time i post here, hi everyone : )

i run linux on my mbp, it's not self-evident, i spent quite some time
setting up my machine,
don't know whether things changed with the unibody mbp, but i wouldn't
think the situation is any better with it.
your problems for pure:dyne:
- livecd doesn't work (hangs on my machine anyway)
- macs don't boot off usb

however, you can install debian from a cd (just download from
debian.org, there is lots of documentation online)
and afterwards install the pure:dyne packages, which i did. packages are
the debian way of installing software.
the pure kernel doesn't work however, i'm on debian lenny vanilla
kernel. - a kernel is the core of the OS

so to keep it short, running pure:dyne is not that easy on an mbp
(especially single boot)
it would be much easier to install ubuntu, there is lots of
documentation online.

btw does anybody have a working RT kernel for mbp (3.1)?
i'm about to compile one myself, but as a noob it's very daunting.

anyone please correct me if things have changed, i'd be dlighted : )

best
