hiya Rob.Im not anywhere near a ethernet connection im afraid, live out in the shtix, middle of nowhere( which happens to give me lots of time playing with renoise!!!). So I cant update normally with apt. have to keep coming back to vista to use the net.:-( yeah these 3g things are terrible yokes. but i dont have much choice out here(Co.Galway Ireland). No broadband in my area, and getting wireless out here is a joke too.(I rang them 3-4 times to get them to install it and they they never showed, if they dont want my money, f**K them). Could you check and see what version of modemmanager you have installed? I used this one >>>> modemmanager (0.2.git.20091014t233208.16f3e00-0ubuntu1) Im pretty sure all the APN settings and stuff are correct, as the modem is connecting, just that nmapp is reporting its not.
