Thanks for the info. I just downloaded, installed, and run it from my XP
machine.

Results: The VM that comes with the server bundle is 3.1a1 which will
sometimes time out on the images. This was a problem which has been
fixed a while ago. The current "stock VM" (3.1a6 without the recent
fixes) appears to work fine on XP. However, this _may_ be due to
scheduling differences between XP and 2K (turns out XP does have "just
another" totally crazy scheduling strategy going on ... argh!!!). I'll
try with 2K tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
