It can be distributed like that, but it must be added to the release, which 
should not happen at least around 3 weeks (and I won\'t be able to do that 
right now -- please open a feature request for that).

Still, you should be able to download things directly from the update site and 
then use it locally:

Create a structure with:

dir/site.xml
dir/features/org.python.pydev.feature_1.6.0.2010071813.jar
dir/plugins/all other files
