I've no complaint. If you think it's possible, and if it would improve
performance, then wonderful. Would this also help it integrate better
with pyglet's rendering engine?

Regardless, we can add it to the list. Having the GL experience would
help immensely, too. ;)

Regarding Drew's objection: while SVG certainly isn't a *raster* image
format, I'm afraid I don't see your point about scope. Pyglet is "a
cross-platform windowing and multimedia library for Python." I mean,
it supports HTML, which isn't an exactly an "image format" either
(though it ends up rendering to an image on the screen...).

I'd rather not argue semantics. SVG is an up-and-coming graphics
format with growing support. I would like to see vector graphics
support added to pyglet's excellent raster support. The Squirtle guys
have done 99% of the work, and I find it useful enough to include
closer to pyglet's core, for my previously stated reasons.

Even if it doesn't make it into pyglet core, I'd still like to see
SVGs usable as swap-ins for images. I'd also like to see squirtle
packaged up, perhaps with a more formal project page. (If help is
needed with this, I *can* volunteer myself here.) Supereffective guys,
are you listening in?
