Is that an improvement on the performance without the DISPLAY_DEPTH mod?

Hmm.. could you send me the relevant CDG please? I'd be interested to
see the effect, I don't want to bugger anything up by introducing that
change.
In answer to your question in another message: the player won't
currently play without an MP3 file present, but if you're thinking about
sending just .cdg files, that's OK as I can always use any old MP3 file
with it.
