I tried out Webfaction for a few months but didn't care for them because they 
kill processes that consume too much memory/cpu which I found pretty annoying.  
If your website doesn't require much resources than they might be a good fit 
but if your website receives a lot of traffic and/or you have external 
processes (which I did) then you might suffer the same fate as me.

I've since moved on to VPS hosting since I don't have to worry about other 
users on the same os and it also gives me far greater control over the services 
I run, the ports I use, etc...  I'm currently using GlobalTap 
(http://www.globaltap.com/) which I recommend.  I've tried cheaper alternatives 
(Burstnet which I thought was terrible & FanaticalVPS which was decent but they 
ceased US operations recently).
