Anyone built PyLucene on Solaris? Anybody have guidance for how to go about trying?
I've only done this on Mac OS X, Linux and Windows.
If gcj is in good shape on Solaris, then this shouldn't be too hard. If, on the other hand, it is not (as on, say, HP-UX), then it might be a lot harder.
For instance, is the gcj garbage collector implemented on Solaris ?
The [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list is a great place for gcj issues.
Also, python threads and gcj threads better be using the same threading infrastructure such as pthreads.
If you get it to work, feel free to send in patches for the Makefile and INSTALL files (and anything else you might have had to tweak) !
