If you build PyLucene from the source tarball, you shouldn't have to go
through this patching phase. The Lucene .java source files are already
compiled and the .jar files are provided with the PyLucene source tarballs.
The problem you're facing is probably due to dates of some of these files
being wrong and that is confusing make.
