I am using this file: "../src/PyLucene-src-2.0.0.tar.gz" from the website.
I only uncomment the variable definition section in Makefile. Seems like there is more I need to modify in order to skip the patching phase. Anyone can give me a hand here. The Lucene .java source files are already compiled and the .jar files are provided with the PyLucene source tarballs. The problem you're facing is probably due to dates of some of these files being wrong and that is confusing make.
