Agreed.  It was less than satisfactory at first though it improved
marginally when we moved to the table round the corner.

Sounds ideal if we want to graduate to holding talks / lightning talks /
presentations.  I think Simon mentioned the HACMan events held there.

I'm not familiar with MADLAB but if the stats work out (e.g. location, fees,
number of people it can hold etc.) and we can find a regular slot then I'd
be game.  I'd be interested to know whether some people like the informal
atmosphere (and beer) of a pub.  One option is to alternate between talk /
coding meets and pub meets (the Cambridge Python Group does this quite
successfully).
