It looks like we have an embarrassment of options on the table for our
meeting in 10 days' time. I'm not familiar with either of these venues, but
I would be more than happy to try each one in turn then settle on whichever
suits us re: facilities, comfort and availability.

>From what I can tell from the MadLab calendar online, MadLab is booked on
Thu 16th Sep by the Perlmongers. Assuming we don't want to crash the
Perlmongers' gathering, is anyone aware of whether MadLab can accommodate
more than one group? (I've not heard back from them on this).

The upstairs room at the Lass O' Gowrie is not available on Thu 16th Sep,
but the "Snug" room downstairs is free which is a private room with
projector that can comfortably hold 10-20 people. On suggesting that some
might eat and all will drink, they would be kindly willing let us have the
room for free.

Are there any thumbs up or objections to giving the Lass O' Gowrie a go this
month then see if we can get MadLab for next month?

It might well be short notice, but it would be good to make the most of the
venue with a bit of semi-formal content along with informal chat
(particularly if we're to continue to attract those from outside
Manchester). Does anyone have a 5 min lightning talk or a feature length
talk up their sleeve they'd be willing to give? I'll set the ball rolling
by offering to give one or two lightning talks.

Cheers,

Safe
