I've come to find I'm at the end of my rope with MEL, and now need to go through the tools I've developed and convert them to python. This brings up several questions: 1. Where can I find good info on writing GUI's in python for maya? 2. If I use pymel, I'm assuming I have to distribute it to all the artist stations, correct? 3. Any decent docs on writing plugins with python? The docs distributed with maya are probably better suited for someone who has been writing c++ plugins and is looking to switch to python I'm looking forward to being freed from mel's restrictions, and using dictionaries and tupples.
