I work in both XSI and Maya and I was using Notepad++ and the script editor
for the longest time, and I just switched to Eclipse/PyDev a couple weeks
ago and had no idea what I was missing. It's great.

The next thing to learn is proper version/source control. It's always
confused me, but it is becoming important as my projects get bigger and
bigger.
