Checkout the most recent version (ref. 2647). Then add the new flag PSbinexpand=2 to all the bitmap instances. Rebuild all the figures. Rebuild the whole ps file. Check whether gv now works. Hopefully it does. Still, I don't want to have PSbinexpand=2 being the default. It's too expensive (in file size).
