Gary,

this is due to xine not being able to determine the proper length of a
mpeg2 video stream ( unfortunately ).

You can mitigate this by choosing [ Tools -> MedaiBackend ->
QMplayerWidget ] which will then use mplayer to determine the
length.MPlayer is much more accurate in this regard.

Please note that if this option is unavailable to you you will have to
re-compile QDVDAuthor ( I can help )
