Leading in terms of consulting user base, but argubly not so in
technical terms.

The main argument against Zest/GEF/Eclipse is the enormous "tie-in"
that you commit yourself to, compared to a lighter framework which
renders on to a given JPanel.

But I won't stop anyone from trying... ;o)
