Yes, in a purely technical/usability sense Eclipse is definitely not the 
best. I still get very frustrated when I see developers using Eclipse 
and wasting so much energy and time on loads of little things that "just 
work" in IntelliJ.

However...

Same here. If anyone got that itch to scratch, by all means, go ahead! 
But we will also need a separate lightweight implementation which is 
JPanel based as well.
