I suppose geographically somewhere like Leicester is probably centre
of the country, with somewhere like Northampton or Birmingham being
central as far as road arteries go.

Manchester, Birmingham and London have active QL groups, whereas south
coast venues (Hove, Portsmouth etc) are good for people coming from
abroad. For me, the most convenient venues would be Manchester,
Byfleet, Portishead/Clevedon and Northampton (though the latter pair
stopped a long time ago) because they were all just off the English
motorways.

Historically, the greatest concentration of QLers was in the south
east, and when Quanta was founded meetings were initially only held in
areas like Milton Keynes and Swindon.

Alternating north and south (or at least ensuring one northern meeting
every now and then) is the best compromise, which I guess is what
Quanta are trying to achieve. I daresay we could have the same
travelling distances as the USA show - likely to be held on the
USA/Canada border this autumn (fall) I guess.

David's point about not promoting the plus points may be valid - I
don't know if it was me not paying attention or did this event not get
that much advance publicity?
